2010 Jaguar Sports Cars XKR 75

The 2010 Jaguar Sport Car XKR 75 will provide owners with exclusivity, excitement and a hint of Jaguar’s great heritage its debut at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 2. Jaguar Land Rover CEO, Dr Ralf Speth, initiated the challenge to the Jaguar engineering team to construct an XKR to celebrate Jaguar's 75th anniversary, which would deliver a combination of enhanced performance, superb chassis and steering control and grip levels to inspire the driving enthusiast to explore the true potential of the XKR's capabilities.

“The Jaguar Sport Car XKR 75 will provide owners with an exclusive, fun and a bit of the Jaguar heritage. This is a way to celebrate the power of the XK sports trademark name Jaguars 75 years,” said Mike O'Driscoll, managing director, Jaguar Cars.
Jaguar engineers increased the power and torque of the acclaimed 5.0-litre supercharged engine to 530PS and 655Nm respectively for the Jaguar Sport Car XKR 75, to deliver truly outstanding performance. While the limited edition model’s top speed is electronically limited to 174mph (280km/h), the Jaguar Sport Car XKR 75's 0-60mph (100km/h) acceleration time is reduced from 4.6 to 4.4 seconds compared to the standard 510 PS XKR. "We conceived the XR 75 as a sports car with a duality of character that makes it perfectly suited to driving across Europe to the Nurburgring, completing some very fast laps, and then driving home again, added Mike Cross, Chief Engineer Vehicle Integrity.
The Jaguar Sport Car XKR 75 features revised suspension and handling for increased precision and agility in addition to the performance enhancements. To ensure the XKR 75 remains stable at high speeds, a revised aerodynamic body pack with a front splitter, side sills extensions, a rear diffuser and larger rear spoiler provide increased balance and a reduction in lift. The XKR's computerised Active Differential Control also adjusts to reduce steering sensitivity at very high speeds, further improving stability and driver control.
Production of the Jaguar sports car XKR 75 is limited to just 75 vehicles, which will be available to order from July 2010 in the UK priced from £85,500 OTR. Customer deliveries will commence during October 2010.

Jaguar XJ Sentinel. Special for Moscow Auto Show 2010

Jaguar XJ Sentinel

The Moscow showroom became a place of a world premiere the armor car from Jaguar – Jaguar XJ Sentinel. It's the first armor sedan of representation class English company, and Englishmen, in common with experts of company Centigon, have approached to business rather thoroughly and have reserved the car on class В7. The car is capable to sustain turn from Kalashnikov automatic machine and explosion of 15 kg trotyl in immediate proximity from itself. Englishmen assure that Jaguar XJ Sentinel, is more true its passengers, without serious consequences will transfer also grenade explosion under the bottom.

Iron-plating engages the bodies integrated into structure steel armour plates, kevlar modules, and for bottom protection answer anti-mine mats. The car weight, in comparison with usual long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ, has grown almost twice – from 1780 to 3300 kg that has demanded strengthening of a suspender, the braking system and specially developed 19-inch disks. And here Englishmen have decided not to touch the engine and have left five-liter eight capacity of 385 h.p. with which on pair the six-step automatic transmission with a manual mode of a gear shift works. The maximum speed of the car makes 195 km/h, and on first hundred conquest leaves 9,7 sec.

In comparison with products of Mercedes-Benz Guard and BMW Security, Jaguar XJ Sentinel dynamic characteristics look not so convincingly. For example, Mercedes S600L Guard is heavier than an English sedan, but is much more powerful (517 h.p.) and faster on 15 km/h (210 km/h). It would seem, superfluous 15 km/h don't do anything, but only not in that case, so far as concerns life and death of passengers of similar cars. These cars are calculated on extreme situations in which all can solve fractions of a second. However, it only the first experience of booking for English engineers. For certain, in due course they leave on level of the German colleagues. Besides it is not necessary to forget that in an arsenal of Englishmen there is still compressor five-liter eight capacity of 510 h.p. which can appear in the future under Jaguar XJ Sentinel cowl.

Traditionally for cars of a representation class an inner trim of English armored car the richest. Here expensive kinds of leather and a ceiling inserts from the polished tree and audiosystem B&W. The Russian dealers will start to accept orders for Jaguar XJ Sentinel in October, and the first cars will go to Russia not earlier than next year.

Jaguar XJ75 Platinum Concept [Video]

Jaguar celebrate their 75th anniversary, unveiled the XJ75 Platinum Concept at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance. The new concept is the company's first demonstration of the design customization potential of the 2011 Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, emphasizing the car’s dramatic interior and exterior styling themes with a new array of striking modifications.

The XJ75 Platinum Concept is defined by a white and black contrast theme, new ground-hugging front, rear and side sills, exterior chrome elements painted in either a dark chrome or gloss black and 22" black wheels. The concept is painted in Satin Matte Pearlescent White.

As such, it uses a 464bhp/424lb ft tune of Jaguar’s supercharged 5-litre V8 petrol engine rather than the full-fat 503bhp/461lb ft version. Of the pair, only the latter is sold in the UK, and while both are marketed in the US, Jaguar’s decided to slot the milder engine into this concept.

Inside the car the same contrasting theme applies and you get gloss pearlescent white air vents, veneers and diamond stitch suede inserts to the seats and headliner, all set against the backdrop of a full Jet Softgrain leather interior. Suede and leather accents are seen throughout the interior to further material enhancements.
