The Upcoming 2012 Cars BMW X3 has come a long way since the model’s inception in 2003. This “soft-roader” has become the luxury standard when it comes to family wagons. It combines the off-road performance and horsepower of sport utility vehicles with the size and fuel efficiency of station wagons. Known for its smooth, sure-footed luxury ride over even the toughest road terrain, the 2011 X3 was offered at a base MSRP of $39,000. The Upcoming 2012 Cars base model should run in the same price range.

BMW X3 Improvements
Currently 40% of vehicles sold by BMW worldwide are diesels. The 355d is headed to the U.S. for 2009 and the BMW X3 could be the next Diesel to follow. The X3 2.0d is powered by a 2.0L Diesel putting out 177 horsepower and 258 ft-lbs. of torque. The 2.0L also gets great fuel millage at 43.5 mpg combined mpg with six speed manual. There is also a larger 3.0L, that you get with the X3 3.0d. This engine produces 218 horsepower and 368 ft-lbs of torque. with a combined mpg of 38.2 mpg with the six speed manual.

The new Upcoming 2012 Cars X3 compact SUV is designed to focus more on utility than previous years’ models. In addition to the improved xDrive all wheel drive system and the solid build quality, the handling has been retooled. Rain or shine, on hairpin turns or stop-and-go traffic, test drives indicate that the Upcoming 2012 Cars X3 has worked out all the handling kinks that many drivers experienced in the 2011 models. The formerly stiff ride of the X3 made it difficult for long cross-country trips, but this new model should work out fine for any family road trips you might want to take.

BMW X5 Updates

Very few changes are anticipated for Upcoming 2012 Cars since the more dramatic ones involving over 4,000 new parts were just completed last year. Transmission and Body Style

Since these are being carried over, buyers of the Upcoming 2012 Cars X5 can be assured the transmission has proven that it is capable of instant acceleration without interruption of power. Approximately one-third of the new X5’s are expected to be equipped with the diesel-powered xDrive35d. The body style will be similar to the past models with a long wheelbase and short overhangs that give it a muscular look. The next big refresh for the BMW 5 Series probably won’t come before the 2014 model year.
